KUALA LUMPUR, Khamis - Kementerian Perusahaan Utama hari ini menyelar tindakan pemaju perumahan yang cuba menaikkan harga rumah dengan alasan negara kekurangan bekalan kayu bergergaji dan papan lapis. Menterinya, Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik, berkata bekalan kayu bergergaji dan papan lapis untuk industri perumahan tempatan mencukupi tetapi pemaju perumahan perlu bersaing dari segi harga untuk mendapatkan bekalan

BUTTERWORTH: Bumiputera yang ingin membeli semua jenis rumah di negeri ini dikehendaki mendaftar dengan unit Penyelarasan Bumiputera bagi mengelakkan berlaku penyelewengan oleh pemaju. Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perumahan, Alam Sekitar dan Kebudayaan, Zakaria Bakar, berkata kerajaan negeri akan memastikan kuota 30 peratus pemberian rumah untuk Bumiputera tidak mudah diselewengkan pemaju.

Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan negeri, Datuk Bahari Haron, berkata pemaju memberikan pelbagai alasan untuk menaikkan harga rumah kos rendah, termasuk mendakwa kenaikan harga kayu menyebabkan mereka mengalami kerugian.

KUALA LUMPUR, Wed. - The Government will push for stricter land development regulations in the wake of massive soil erosion and flash floods caused by uncontrolled land clearing. Deputy Science, Technology and Environment Minister Peter Chin Fah Kui said today that there was considerable concern over the clearing of hilly terrains by housing developers and loggers as this had led to soil erosion, siltation and sedimentation problems.

190 projek rumah terbengkalai dipulih 10/06/1993 BH
SEBANYAK 190 projek perumahan terbengkalai dipulihkan melalui Tabung Pemulihan Perumahan Terbengkalai (TPPT) membabitkan 32,688 unit rumah serta 22,850 pembeli, kata Timbalan Menteri Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan, Osu Sukam. Menjawab soalan tambahan Senator Datuk Ahmad Abdullah, Osu berkata kerajaan menyediakan RM500 juta bagi tabung itu untuk membantu 118 projek perumahan lain yang masih terbengkalai.

JOHOR BAHRU, Rabu - Kerajaan Johor tidak akan mewajibkan syarat pembinaan rumah kedai kos rendah kepada pemaju perumahan di negeri ini kerana bimbang langkah itu akan menjejaskan pertumbuhan sektor itu. ALOR STAR, Khamis - Kerajaan Kedah menolak permohonan pemaju perumahan di negeri ini yang gagal mengemukakan laporan lengkap pembangunan mengenai projek perumahan masing-masing. Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan negeri, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim hari ini berkata, laporan itu hendaklah meliputi penyediaan sistem perparitan di sekitar kawasan perumahan.

Poor supervision cited for poor quality houses 26/06/1993 NST
KUANTAN, Fri. - Poor supervision has resulted in the poor quality of houses in the Pasdec Makmur housing project in Indera Mahkota, here, Sate Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) director Shaharudin Puteh said today. The finding was conveyed to the developer, Pasdec Corporation Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Pahang State Development Corporation, after an ACA investigation following recent complaints by 33 housebuyers of the poor quality of their houses in the project.

Housing woes: Ministry can't act promptly 30/06/1993 NST
KUALA LUMPUR, Tues. - The Housing and Local Government Ministry cannot act quickly on public complaints against housing developers due to legislation and the large number of Government agencies involved in the purchase of houses. The division secretary of the ministry's supervision and enforcement department, Encik Ahmad Nasir Salim, said the process involved seven laws.
