Prepare guide, govt told 01/09/1992 MM
THE Selangor Government will be asked to prepare guidelines for developers undertaking projects in the State. Each of the nine districts in the State will also be asked to set up a consultative body to identify sites in their respective areas for housing and industrial projects.

THE problem of collecting maintenance fees from highrise dwellers could be solved by creating a sinking fund built into the purchase price. THE proposed build-and-sell concept to prevent housing projects from being abandoned will burden the developer financially and the end result would be higher selling prices, according to a banker. THE developer of the 19 houses in Taman Putra damaged by erosion says it has not given any undertaking to the State Government to build replacement units for the affected families. A spokesman for the developer, MCB Holdings Bhd, said the company was not liable for the damages as the houses had been handed over to the buyers more than a year ago
