Now that a full report on it has been completed and is about to be released to the public and new measures have been introduced to ensure the safety of high-rise buildings in these high-risk areas, the Cabinet decision to lift the temporary ban is understandable. It is, however, not an open licence to lackadaisical developers to revert to their old ways.
