(1) The laws specified in the Schedule are hereby
repealed as from the commencement of this Act.
(2) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong may, at any time within the period of five
years beginning with the commencement of this Act, by order under this
section -
(a) repeal any other written law in force immediately before that
commencement and rendered obsolete or unnecessary by any provision thereof;
(b) make such repeals or amendments in any such law as he may consider
necessary for the purpose of bringing the provisions thereof into accord
with the provisions of this Act, or of supplementing the last-mentioned
provisions in any respect:
Provided that the power conferred by this subsection shall not be exercised
in respect of a State Law otherwise than with the concurrence of the State
Authority.
The State
Authority may, by regulations, make such provision as it may consider
necessary or expedient for the purpose of removing any difficulties
occasioned by the coming into force of this Act, and any such regulations
may be so made so as to have effect as from the commencement of this Act.
