HBA, you surely have made an impact in the housing industry. Through the diligence and hardworking volunteers, you have earned the buyers trust. You also have made the Government especially the Ministry of Housing and Ministry of Lands alerted of your unselfish role to do your own version of community service.
While a lot of house buyers merely talk and suffer in silence, you have taken the role to address the ills in the industry and weed out those greedy and self centered Developers.
Though Developers may be one of the economic drivers, surely they must realise that without buyers, for their products, there is no them. We, the buyers must be united and have one voice thro HBA. Long live HBA!

In the world of materialism, it is worthy to acknowledge that your esteem organisation renders help to other less fortunate that has been muddled with problems that they are unable to do anything themselves. I support your organisation in standing up for the group of house buyers who have been made the victims of circumstances in the recent reported case in regards to Housing Tribunal. I am glad to see that your group is passionate towards the underdogs in the fight between "David and Goliath". and as a matter of public interest your group of lawyers HBA had managed to assemble to volunteer for a worthy cause. Keep up the fantastic work and may god bless you all and your family. I just visited the Housing Tribunal situated at level 2, Block B, Pusat Bandar Damansara, KL and notice that the Tribunal had ceased to hear all cases until the outcome of the Appeal by both AG Chambers and HBA lawyers since 5.9.03. I don't understand how a government initiated Tribunal can cease to function by the making of the arrogant Developers who had choose to challenged its function and role. Those Developers who choose to challenge it must surely be guilty of the acts that has been complained of by the people who seek justice thro' the Tribunal. If only our Ministry of Housing is bold enough to crack the whip on them and strictly enforce the rules and regulations who our Parliament enacted. Such is the sorry state of affairs that has plagued the housing industry and had been unfair to the man-in-the-street.

This is a very comprehensive website on the the pros and cons of buying a house. I am appreciative of the efforts put in by the volunteers and bravo to you fellows there. While the Government can make all the laws they want, there is sheer lack of seriousness in enforcement of the laws and regulations. If only the government makes an example of some errant Developers and jail them for the miseries they have created to unsuspecting house buyers. then will we see all Developers toeing the lines drawn. Have you ever seen any Developers in JAIL ??
