City declaration handed over

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor state government received the declaration from the federal government proclaiming Petaling Jaya as a city yesterday.

Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting handed over the declaration to Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah in a brief ceremony at Istana Bukit Kayangan here.

Also present Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo and Petaling Jaya Municipal Council president Datuk Ahmad Termizi Puteh.
