Traffic mayhem at condo

I LIVE in Kelana Puteri Condominium in Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya. The traffic flow in front of the condominium, Jalan SS 7/26, creates a traffic jam.
Traffic coming out of the condominium can either turn left towards Kelana D'Putra Condominium or right towards LDP.

Traffic coming from D'Putra Condo makes U-turns here or turns into the condo while vehicles coming in from LDP turn into the condo and some make a U-turn here.

On top of this multi-purpose break in the divider, motorcyclists coming out of Kelana Jaya Medical Centre take a short cut by going down the wrong way and cut into this break to get to the other side of the divider.

In addition, pedestrians use the main (and only) entrance to get in and get out of the condominium.

There have been many accidents due to the heavy and haphazard usage of this break in the road divider.

We have requested for speed bumps to prevent motorcycles from speeding.

Despite numerous written complaints by the condominium management and residents association to the Petaling Jaya Municipal Council (MPPJ), nothing is being done.

We even attended the “Open Forum” at MPPJ to make one more request to solve the problem at this hellish junction. Still, nothing is done.

Is MPPJ waiting for a major accident before it does something?

Come on MPPJ, you want city status but with a village mentality?

Be proactive, not reactive.
