Developer ordered to rectify faults
21/06/2005 MM

KUALA LUMPUR: The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) has ordered the developer of Bandar Botanic in Klang to rectify houses built not in accordance to specifications following complaints from buyers.

Its public relations officer, Nor Fiza Mahfiz, said the order was issued recently after inspections revealed that the complaints were valid.

“The developer has been asked to complete the remedial works as soon as possible,” she said.

She said the affected houses are still under the developer’s responsibility as the grace period of six months (from January when it handed over the house keys) is still valid.

Nor Fiza was responding to our report yesterday, highlighting house owners’ grouses that their houses were not built according to specifications in the Sales and Purchase Agreement,

They obtained their keys from the developer in January, two months after the latter obtained the Certificate of Fitness (CF) from the council
