SHAH ALAM: Developers in Selangor will not be allowed to carry out other development projects in the State if the present ones are abandoned.

The 56 comprise 32 housing projects of 17,672 units, 18 commercial projects (1,014 units, five village expansions (2,480 units) and an industrial project (174 units).

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Khir Toyo said the list has been sent to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government to be blacklisted or for their existing licences to be revoked.

"The list of errant developers can be accessed at www.mbselangor.com

Dr Khir said most of the developments are in Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor. Be was speaking at a Press conference after the State Exco meeting yesterday.

He said: "We want to curb this problem. For a start, a special committee comprising lawyers has been formed to help buyers earning below RM5,000 solve their housing problems."
