Riverside retreat
26/10/2002 NST-PROP

The third phase of The Genting Valley project, which offers premium plots of flat land next to a river and panoramic views of the Main Range, is now almost 50 per cent sold, continuing the success that the project had enjoyed with earlier phases.

The earlier phases were well-received, with Phase One 100 per cent sold, and Phases Two and Three, 98 per cent sold, said Lim Chin Hong, chief executive of Jade San Realty Sdn Bhd, the developer of the project.

He added that a total of 550 lots with a value of RM65 million have been sold to date.

Plot sizes for Phase Three range from 6,000sq ft to 12,000sq ft and three bungalow showhouses are now being built, he said. Pricing is affordable as prices start from RM12.69psf after considering the eight per cent Bumiputera discount.

The lure here is that the properties are freehold, located amidst the natural ambience of rolling hills and green vistas, are affordably priced, easily accessible and near to Kuala Lumpur.

The development also offers covered utilities, perimeter fencing with round-the-clock security, a six-acre orchard for residents and four acres of land for equestrian services. Apart from these, buyers are also offered a free pitch and putt golf and country club membership.

The handover for Phase One is scheduled for June 2003 and to date, developments such as the clubhouse, floating restaurant and hotspring facilities have been completed.

The RM1 billion Genting Valley development will take eight to 10 years to complete with a range of amenities and facilities that includes a commercial centre, heath resort, schools, lakes, jogging trek, river line picnic area and a proposed 10-acre parkland and horse camp.

From KL, Genting Valley is easily accessible through a comprehensive network of highways and arterial roads that include the Karak Highway, Sungai Tua-Ulu Yam-Genting Highland trunk road, Rawang-Serendah-Batang Kali road and the North-South Highway. A Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) commuter station is being built about three km from the project.
