		THE Negri Sembilan Government wants
developers to lower property prices as there are unsold units worth over
		RM500mil in the state.
Mentri Besar Tan Sri Isa Abdul Samad
said he had advised developers to drop prices to enable them to sell
		their properties.
		''Feedback from 62 developers shows
that the total of unsold property in the form of residential units, and
commercial and industrial lots, are worth RM513.8mil,'' he said after
opening the state-level World AIDS Day celebration on Saturday.

		Unsold residential units totalled
3,210 lots worth RM308.2mil, while unsold commercial lots totalled 483
units valued at RM130.6mil. There are also 236 units of unsold
		industrial lots worth RM75mil.
He said it would be better for
developers to sell them at a lower price than keeping the unsold units.
		He cited the Seremban Municipal
Council, which was able to sell its unsold housing units when it slashed
		the price by RM5,000.
''I hope the developers would lower
their prices in the coming property expo to be held later this month,''
		he said.
Earlier in his speech, Isa said there
were 4,631 people in the state who were infected with HIV.
He said 98% of them were men, and 80%
of them were between 20 and 40 years old. |
