Press Release:

RE: Kajang Council offers partial remedy to Venice Hill problem

The Ministry of Housing having acknowledged that the Developer has flouted the law should invoke Section 10, 11 & 12 of the Housing Developer's Act to commence an investigation and subsequently prosecute the 'so called developer' to Court of law.

To reflect the seriousness of the Ministry of Housing in wanting to see justice for the house buyers should, the House Buyers' Association reiterate respond to the media on the prosecution but very often, developers usually get off with a fine.

The Ministry on their own volition should lodge a police report against the 'so called' developer, directors, architects, engineers, consultants and all those related to the 'project/scheme'.

HBA urges the Ministry of Housing to give notice of the happenings to the Bank Negara, who should commence investigation into the 'fiduciary duties of care', the end-financing bankers or financial institutions owe to their customers namely the purchasers- borrowers in the project.

Again, HBA questions the failure of the approving authorities and the 'supervisory bodies'.
